Now director-producer, Danny Boyle has confirmed the development of the third part. The awaited sequel, 28 Months Later shall be kicked off soon in later part of year. However, no further details have been discussed abroad on the timeline.
28 Months Later is certainly going to be unnerving unlike the first two-filmed installments. The original writer of the series, Alex Garland will team up with Danny Boyle for the upcoming project. Garland’s schedule is quite hinged right now, so the dates of production are expected to shoot up for later years.
Although, Boyle has hinted about his anticipations about the movie and how he’s getting desperate for a vivid script with passing days. He further moves to say:
It doesn’t feel stale to direct the next part without him at all. He’s right now concentrating on his own work and directing his movie. So it is currently standing in abeyance it’s always a you-never-know.”
The sequel shall be a comeback for Boyle- Garland duo
Garland is currently busy writing and directing Devs. Devs is a sci-fi thriller series that streams for FX. The Zombie franchise has already bought the trust of it’s viewers by pouring uniqueness to the offbeat genre.
The chemistry of Garland and Boyle have sparked great talents and remarkable screenplays through their mega-hit franchise.
