Alita: Battle Angel Sequel Demands by Producer Jon Landau
Alita: Battle Angel sequel demands were recently made by Jon Landau showing his support to the Alita Army fandom. Jon Landau wore a t-shirt which said, “Wash your hands, I want a sequel” with a picture of Rosa Salazar as Alita from the live-action movie. Landau was making fans aware to stay safe from the COVID-19 pandemic and also used the opportunity to ask Disney for the Alita 2 movie.
The producer also revealed that James Cameron has planned two more movies in the Alita franchise based on Yukito Kishiro’s manga series “Gunnm” and kind of confirmed the Alita trilogy. Since Cameron was busy with Avatar, Robert Rodriguez stepped in to direct Alita: Battle Angel along with a screenplay by Laeta Kalogridis. The same team will back for Alita: Battle Angel 2 as the script and storyline are already planned, and they are just waiting for Disney to renew the signal.
Disney planning to Green-light Alita: Battle Angel 2 Production
Disney after taking over the 20th Century Fox studios has gained control of Alita: Battle Angel 2 and it is more complicated than it sounds. While the box-office performance of the first Alita movie was average in America, the digital medial release has received an amazing response.
Also, there is no way Disney will say no to James Cameron, and hence Alita: Battle Angel sequel is destined to be confirmed very soon. Disney is considering approving the production of Alita sequel as per some reports, and the movie will be ready to release in 2-3 years.
