Apple iPhone SE 2 fans will have to wait a bit longer to get their hands of the new entry-level smartphone which is under works for the last four years. It is reported that Apple has halted the retail launch of iPhone SE 2 due to several reasons. There were already delays in production and assembly of iPhone SE 2 as the factories across China were shut down after the Coronavirus outbreak. While Apple tried to shift the production to other countries like Taiwan and China, it didn’t work out due to a lack of proper skilled laborers and machinery.

There are also rumors that Apple had planned to launch the iPhone SE 2 via an online event or just a simple website refresh where the product will show on the online stores. But the United States has declared a national emergency which means even the shipment and delivery of iPhone Se 2 related process can’t happen anymore. The launch event at Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino, California has been canceled due to increased cases of Covid-19. Santa Clara County officials have issued a mandatory order to cancel mass gatherings hinting that iPhone SE 2 launch event is canceled and the release is postponed without any further updates.

Despite called a mid-range smartphone, iPhone SE 2 will be powered by the latest A13 Bionic chip meaning it can easily run iOS 14 and future software updates. The iPhone SE 2 will bring back the Touch ID and home button along with a single rear camera.
