Most of the experts are saying that Apple will bring the facial recognition software in the Apple watch series 6. The claim is being made after Apple submitted a patent that uses all the sensors and cameras required to unlock the device using facial recognition. The facial recognition software in the Apple watch series 6 could make it very different from the rest of Apple smartwatches as it has never been done before. If the passcode authentication is removed from the watch series 6, and Facial ID as a security measure is used, it could open a possibility of the Apple Watch 6 able to support Android smartphones. Although, it might not be possible as the patent doesn’t mean implementation in the upcoming watch model.

As for the design and display, Watch Series 6 could have more screen and fewer bezels. Since the Always On Display and compass features have already been introduced, Series 6 watches could have improved battery life, faster Wi-Fi and cellular speeds and improved water resistance. There are also reports that more health and fitness features will be introduced in the Apple watch series 6 along with third-party support for the watch faces and smart straps.

Apple watch series 6 currently doesn’t have any updates on the release date or when it will be launched in the market. But based on the Watch Series 5 release date from Apple, one gets an exact idea when the next smartwatch will be released. There are high chances that the Apple watch series 6 will come out with the next iPhone in the second week of September 2020 in the annual Apple event.
