Assassin's Creed 2020 Ragnarok Mjolnir Leaks confirming Norse Mythology Rumors seems Fake

Assassin’s Creed 2020 Ragnarok is the next rumored title from Ubisoft which is said to be set in the Vikings era following the Norse mythology. Although nothing about the next Assassin’s Creed game has been confirmed, most of the rumors support the Vikings settings and Ragnarok seems to be a fitting name.

The latest leaks from an Italian site are claiming that “Assassin’s Creed: Ragnarok” Mjolnir Edition will be one of the special editions of the game to be released on Xbox consoles. Although it confirms the Norse mythos rumors, there are more reasons to believe that the new information is just fake.

Ubisoft making an Assassin’s Creed game set in the Vikings era makes sense and even ‘Mjolnir Edition’ could be one of the listings. Mjolnir is the mighty hammer of Thor, the God of Thunder in Norse mythology and having that weapon is totally possible.

However, the leaked game listing shared on Reddit could be fake as one of the users in comment sections mentioned that the pre-sell code has already been used by another Ubisoft game called “Watch Dogs Legion.” It was nothing but a photoshop job to create fake rumors about the Assassin’s Creed: Ragnarok game. Also, the release date for Assassin’s Creed: Ragnarok – Mjolnir Edition was in the same period as Watch Dogs and there is no way Ubisoft would launch two of their biggest RPG titles in the same month.

Assassin’s Creed 2020 is currently said to have the working title Ragnarok and will focus on the Vikings. The latest Ubisoft title has been delayed a bit so that the game can be enhanced for Sony’s next-gen console PlayStation 5.

It simply means that Assassin’s Creed: Ragnarok won’t be coming out anytime soon and could even take it till the end of the year. Ubisoft has neither confirmed nor denied about Ragnarok as the new Assassin’s Creed game and the wait will be over soon testing the validity of all the rumors.
