Astronaut is a movie about space travel and it looks at the same in a different light. It’s different from your regular space sci-fi movies and has a completely different storyline to it. It’s not about saving the world or about innovating something new. The movie instead, deals with the dream of an old and lonely man, the dream to travel into outer space.
ASTRONAUT is a typically low-budget Canadian film, taking a compelling premise down the path of least resistance. A strong cast, led by the ever-irascible Richard Dreyfuss, helps the material feel not quite as stale, but this is largely conflict-free drama. #Fantasia2019
