An outage of 911 deprived AT&T users of using the emergency services for hours altogether on 2 July 2019 morning.
In the states of Wisconsin, Minnesota, Texas, Washington, etc the officials reported the issue. Also, the different law enforcement bodies and fire stations reported on social media that callers were unable to reach 911.
The issue regarding AT&T customers not able to utilize 911 has been RESOLVED! AT&T cell customers should now be able to dial 911.

AT&T cellular is experiencing a 911 issue.
One of Indiana based Emergency Service Twitter handle asked the users to use a direct line in case of an emergency during the outage window.
Although the customers using other network providers did not face any issues but for the AT&T users faced the problems for a pretty long time.
The 911 is an all in one stop for reporting incidents related to fire, medical emergencies and other emergency situations. The 911 came into existence in the year 1968 and was adopted by AT&T.
The first 911 call was placed by Alabama speaker Rankin Fite on February 16, 1968, to Congressman Tom Bevill at the city police station.
Coming back to the outage, all landlines were working perfectly fine and were running during the outage.
The users in the states have faced grave inconvenience due to the outage.
The company in a later statement said the issue is resolved. A spokesperson from AT &T said that the users might have faced issues due to the inability to connect to 911 but the issues are resolved now and the company apologizes for the inconvenience caused.
