The resignation of HANBIN from iKON has created a wave of shock and sorrow among iKON fandom. In order to bring their favorite pop star back, the K-pop fans have filed a change making petition on Internet. Amazingly, the petition has attracted more than 35,000 signs within few hours of it’s release.
Will B.I. be able to make a comeback after strong allegations?
Kim Han-bin aka B.I. is currently trapped up in drug charges against him. The 22 year old pop artist was found guilty while making attempts to purchase LSD and marijuana drugs in year 2016. However, the police did not make much efforts to further investigate the case.

And now, after multiple series of accusations and ranting against the pop star, he has decided to quit both the band and label, YG Entertainment.
It’s going to be really hard on fans that seem to idolize K-pop sensations. But where there is a good fan army, there is a chance to restore what’s done in a moment of panic and hurry. In a bid to salvage the band from disbanding, the followers have kicked an on-line petition going by the name, Change.org.
Shedding some light on filed petition;
The petition headlines as “HANBIN SHOULDN’T HAVE TO LEAVE IKON.”
In brief, the petition stated that on June 11, 2019, Hanbin had been accused for drug use case of 2016. The band label, YG Entertainment had released an official statement stating that they drug test their band members every month. The band members lived to our expectations and none of the IKON artists were tested positive- not even HANBIN. We hope the band label or HANBIN himself will look into the filed petition.
The petition further attempts to prove innocence of Hanbin by broaching the fact that Hanbin only thought about doing drugs but he didn’t take even the pinch of it. Rather, he was too scared and medically broken to take drugs. He gave drugs a burl to escape the pain that mentally occulted him.
To much of our surprise, the petition garnered more than 35,000 signatures in the first nine hours of streaming live. The signee supported the musician with their heart-warming comments. One of them wrote, “Hanbin has not done something that could end his whole career.” Meanwhile, other comments included the slogans of “GO AHEAD HANBIN.”
What’s next for the group and B.I. himself ?
Much before B.I. YG has previously fired some big names of pop-industry, including Park Yoo-chun of TVXQ and Seungri from BIGBANG. Drug use is officially outlawed in South Korea and a person, if found guilty can be sentenced up to five harsh years in prison.
B.I. has already took to Instagram and apologized for his illicit actions. Also, he announced his departure from IKON from the very same post.
