Bleach anime release date could get delayed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic which has now overtaken even Japan. Most of the manga and anime industry is based out of Japan and with the increasing cases of coronavirus, the government has declared the State of Emergency. Everyone is advised to stay at their homes and the manga/anime workers are also forced to work from home.

It has led to delays in most of the anime series as studios are closed down, which means Bleach anime will also be affected. There are high chances that production for the last season of Bleach is halted at the moment. Bleach anime release delay is imminent due to the Coronavirus outbreak in Japan.
Bleach anime Production delayed due to Coronavirus
Bleach anime was renewed recently at the 20th-anniversary event of the manga series by Shonen Jump. Based on the manga series of the same name by Tite Kubo, the anime was abruptly ended in 2012. Fans have since then demanding to renew Bleach anime and it was finally announced in 2020 that the series will return for a final.
Bleach anime Season 17 will adapt the “Thousand-Year Blood War” arc from the manga series and enter production soon. Bleach anime is produced by Studio Pierrot and due to the Coronavirus pandemic, most of the projects are halted at the moment. Bleach anime production could also be delayed as the currently running anime series will have to be given priority once things are under control.

Bleach anime was supposed to release near the end of 2020 but that might not be possible. Most of the anime series episodes including names such as Boruto, One Piece, Digimon, etc. have already been delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It will have a long-lasting impact on the anime industry which means the schedule for everything will be shifted over by a few months. The earliest Bleach anime can now release is mid-2021 and COVID-19 will delay it by around 3-4 months.
