Boruto manga series writer Ukyo Kodachi is stepping down from his position and the original Naruto creator Masashi Kishimoto will take the charge back after chapter 52. The announcement comes out as a shock to the fans who are still waiting eagerly for the Boruto chapter 52 release.

It will also have a huge impact on the storyline as Kodachi and Kishimoto have different views on the character and the art style. Most of the fans are having a mixed reaction to the news as the manga quality can go up or down after Boruto 52 chapter release and nothing is certain at this point.

Masashi Kishimoto will take charge of scriptwriting the Boruto Manga starting from Boruto Chapter 53. Ukyo Kodachi has announced his departure from the position of the scriptwriter for the manga series. Kodachi has thanked fans in an emotional tweet and he will also look forward to the Boruto manga series every month like normal readers from now on.

Looking back, I have so many happy memories! I’ve helped with the script of the BORUTO movie, and was tasked to write 13 volumes of the comics. I’m also extremely grateful that the animation has received international acclaim. Thank you so much to Kishimoto sensei, Ikemoto sensei, and all who are involved.

Fans have mixed Reactions on Masashi Kishimoto writing Boruto manga 

Boruto fans are having a mixed reaction to the writer change as the manga quality is always affected by such big changes. The original writer of Naruto had a different vision for the Boruto manga storyline and the serialization will continue as per his drafts now.

The fanbase is always divided on Naruto and Boruto and now that Masashi Kishimoto is back in charge things will be affected for sure. There are many complaints that Kishimoto has no idea how to write female characters and hence Sarada’s character might get sidelined. Boruto Chapter 53 will make it clear whether Kodachi or Kishimoto is a better choice for the manga series.
