A vigorous storm enters into the central United States. The threat spreads to approximately 40 million residents and around 18 states. Severe thunderstorms can bring these life-threatening huge tornadoes and damaging winds into the states. As of Friday night over 30 small tornado reports have been given.
Heavy storms and tornadoes slam Nebraska, Kansas and other states of Central U.S
The severe weather conditions were first experienced in parts of Indiana, Illinois, and Iowa. In addition to this, winds moving at speed of 86 mph were seen in Iowa, Washington. 50 miles Southwest of Downtown Chicago a tornado was reported in Sheridan. However, no casualties were reported.
A series of strong thunderstorms slams across the Central United States on Friday. The strongest of these storms in Central Nebraska gave rise to several other tornadoes. At around 5:45 p.m in CDT a tornado was seen in McCook in Nebraska. However, the tornado resulted in some minor damage including power line damages.
Severe weather might continue for a few more days
Later a tornado touched in Kansas in the evening. While reporting for AccuWeather Extreme Meteorologist Reed Timmer saw a tornado in Nebraska. Another AccuWeather journalist Blake Naftel on Friday evening got an encounter by a tornado near the borders of Oklahoma and Kansas on Friday.
