Chernobyl is a new American British drama mini-series. It premiered on May 6, 2019, on HBO (US). Lithuania serves as the main production company of the show.

It is written and created by Craig Mazin (The Hangover 2 & 3) and directed by Johan Renck (Breaking Bad).

The premise of Chernobyl series

The series stars Jared Harris, Emily Watson, Stellan Skarsgård, Jessie Buckley, Paul Ritter, Con O’Neill, Adam Nagaitis, David Dencik, Adrian Rawlins and many others.

It is based on a true story of the world’s worst man-made disaster in history. It mostly focuses on the nuclear plant disaster that happened in Soviet Ukraine in April 1986.
