Christian Bale has been through a tough and challenging journey to portray a 5-year-old composer prodigy, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in the next historical drama ‘Wunderkind’. He had to commit to many things. Things such as a reduction in the diet drastically and a strict exercise regime to fit into the role.
Christian Bale to lose 40 years
Christian Bale said,
“I knew it would be physically taxing, and possibly even dangerous, to do something like this, but my age-regression trainers are the absolute best and saw to it that I never shed more than 10 years in a given week”.
Christian Bale is also an Oscar-winning actor and a functional kinder-gardener. He has also worked with speech and physical therapists for the role to work on his gross motor skills.
However, he wanted to try this on his acting journey. He was able to drop a few decades very quickly but he slogged hard to drop the last few decades. He was excited to hit the puberty age again.
For him, the entire journey has not been less than the roller coaster ride. This entire transformation needs a mental and as well as physical stability.
It took him days and weeks sometimes to realize what he is doing and what the final destination is. There used to be days when he was so engrossed in the role that sometimes he forgot his own reality.
According to the sources, Wunderkind is a very over budget film and there are chances that it shuts down due to lack of funds.
