Conor McGregor vs Jorge Masvidal was a fight which wasn’t even one which was being considered to be happening up until a couple of months ago but now it seems almost inevitable. McGregor recently said that he wanted to face the winner of Diaz vs Masvidal from UFC 244 and said that he is expecting Nate Diaz to win this fight. However, contrary to his expectations, it was Diaz’s opponent, Jorge Masvidal who won the fight – meaning Conor might have to face him soon.

Conor McGregor vs Jorge Masvidal: When Will it Happen?
McGregor vs Masvidal is expected to happen sometime in Q2-2020. This is considering the fact that McGregor’s first fight back will be against an undecided opponent (most likely Justin Gaethje) and his second fight would be against the UFC 244 winner. Generally, fighters prefer having at least a couple of months off between two fights. So it is unlikely that the two will face off before April 2020.
Jorge Masvidal, recently awarded with the ‘BMF Belt’ by The Rock, is towards the end of his career – but could this be his last fight ever?

Will This Be Masvidal’s Last Fight?
Masvidal has participated in 48 MMA fights so far. Considering the Conor McGregor vs Jorge Masvidal fight is still far away, he might have one fight before that. That would take the tally up to 49 and McGregor would be his 50th opponent. Given that his career started all the way back in 2003, Masvidal might consider retiring after this bout with Conor McGregor.
