Wilfried Zaha is keen to make a move to Arsenal this season. The Ivory Coast winger though has a hefty value at £80m in Crystal Palace though. Arsenal is also looking to trade the winger at all costs but would need to increase their salary bag by some margin for the trade to take place. The Ivory Coast star is currently plying his trade at the Africa Cup of Nations.
CrystalPalace though won’t be easily leaving Zaha. They can ill afford to lose such a star power after Aaron Wan Bissaka’s Manchester deal. The former United player is being bought back by them after 4 years at Palace.
Qualification failure makes trade tricky for Arsenal
Arsenal was keen to buy Wilfried Zaha this year. They were thus hoping for a Champions League qualification to reach the required resources for the transfer. A failure in that regard has pulled them back and they could be rendered incapable if they further failed to negotiate other deals.
Is Zaha worth £80M?

They would have to raise their £45m budget substantially to even gain Palace’s interest in the deal. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang maybe sold to nail the deal but that would be one step forward and the other back. Trading their last season’s top scorer may prove fatal for the Gunners.
Arsenal in no mood to leave Torreira
Uruguay midfielder Lucas Torreira could also be an option to increase the trade budget. Looking at reports of him being unhappy at Arsenal are doing rounds. He reached Emirates Stadium last season but is being related with a move to Italy. Arsenal though dismissed these reports.
They are not in a mood to give up on the 23-year old as yet and would be looking for other options for the Zaha transfer.
Arsenal is also in talks with Celtics the signing of left-back Kieran Tierney, 22, and St Etienne regarding their central defender William Saliba, 18.
