Cyberpunk 2077 has become one of the most anticipated game of this decade after its announcement back in 2012. The game has made the headlines of a few E3 events, with CD Projekt revealing the date of release as April 16, 2020 at E3, 2019. Everyone is pretty hyped about the game. However, apart from a few trailers, not much else has been revealed about the game.
Cyberpunk 2077: Why the delays?
The studio has delayed the game twice already. The date was pushed back to September 17, and then it was further delayed just recently to November 19. Although it seems the developers have concluded the content and gameplay, they would like to double check through the entire game one last time.

Cyberpunk 2077: Night City Wire event is on schedule
Adam Kiciński, during the call, also mentioned that the game is in the final stages. They are not rushing into the release because they are aiming for the highest quality product. Because of this CD Projekt has decided to postpone the release of Cyberpunk 2077 by two more months.
“We are aiming at very high quality, and quality is not only about big things. It is about small things as well, and there is a lot of small things to be tweaked. We have to secure time for this to make sure that we don’t rush the release. That’s why we added nine weeks.”

The president iterated that the Night City Wire stream will move forward as planned. Meanwhile, the journalists are occupied playing the game, so the fans can expect the open-world game reviews by next Thursday.
Although CD Projekt has delayed the release date twice, they swear November 19 is the final date and there will be no more delays. The studio is aware about loss of credibility resulting from delays so they are trying to be as reasonable as possible regarding their decisions. As of now, the fans are eagerly awaiting the Cyberpunk 2077 showcase on June 25 at Night City Wire.
