Del Taco to introduce Tacos with Beyond Meat® Plant-Based Protein
Del Taco to go vegan and introduce plant-based versions of its Tacos. This new type will be called Beyond Meat because it will not have the meat component.
There will be two versions, vegetarian with cheese and a vegan taco. Both the tacos will be sold for $2.49 (the standard taco is $1.49).
Beyond Meat and other startup companies are looking to introduce plant-based meat to numerous restaurants.
This is a remarkable shift for the people who want to see animal cruelty free food and products or climate change. If this project becomes successful, then it can save thousands of animals who are being tortured in factory farms.
Ingredients of Vegetarian Taco and Vegan Taco
The culinary team of Beyond Meat’s have created 100 percent plant-based protein taco at Del Taco. They have created multiple recipes with different seasonings. If you buy a vegetarian taco, then it may include Beyond Meat plant-based crumbles, diced tomatoes, fresh lettuce, and hand-grated cheddar cheese.
If you buy a vegan taco, then it will contain all the ingredients except cheddar cheese. Instead of that, it will include hand-sliced avocados. During the tests, John Cappasola, President and Chief Executive Officer of Del Taco received a good response from the fans.

Plant-based meats could also fight global warming. It this fast food scales up, then it can reduce the number of methane-producing cattle. Not only that, it will fight other issues like antibiotic resistance.
