The 40 guards send to investigate have not returned and they suspect that there is a demon on the train. Which is why the demon slayer Hashira goes to slay the demons with Rengoku and their sword but things might not go as per the plan.

The last episode of Demon Player anime shows Tanzior and Nezuko jumping on the same train as shown in the movie trailer. It confirms that the anime series will continue from the same point in the movie and the second season might be set after the events of Infinity Train movie.
