Diablo 4 is coming out soon but the fans that were hoping to play the game in 2020 might have to wait for some more time. Blizzard is taking its time with the Diablo IV development and recently gave a quarterly update on several gameplay features such as open world and multiplayer aspect.
The online dungeon crawler action role-playing was announced last year at the Blizzcon 2019 by Blizzard Entertainment and recently 20-minutes gameplay footage was also leaked. Diablo 4 will be playable on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, where it will also work on PS5 and Xbox Series X. Diablo 4 director Luis Barriga recently updated fans on the release date, beta version and multiplayer gameplay aspects of the title and here are more details on everything.
Diablo 4 Gameplay, Multiplayer and Development Updates
Diablo 4 is currently under development where the team is working on the Dry Steppes region which will have campaign content, open-world elements, itemization, a PvP subzone, dungeons, and a cinematic view to complete the area. There will be several side quests in Diablo 4 such as helping out villagers from a curse that have turned them into piles of salt.

Luis Barriga also shared another Diablo 4 side quest where you have to jump from skeletons to skeletons in order to fight the spirit of the undead. The game director also added that they are working to make Diablo 4 seamlessly massive multiplayer so that high numbers of gamers can enjoy the gameplay without feeling it crowded.
Diablo 4 Beta Version and Testing Phase
Diablo 4 is in very early stages of development and it will soon enter Alpha and Beta phase of testing. It is not sure when will the game out but there are various leaks about Diablo IV hinting that Blizzard is moving at a very rapid pace with the title. There are also Diablo 4 footage leaks claiming that the game will launch along with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X near the end of this year. Diablo 4 release date is expected as 2022 in some other reports and it will be clear soon.
