Diablo 4 is one of the most awaited games from Blizzard Entertainment and fans of the series have been waiting for so many years for the fourth title. It has been more than 8 years since the third edition of Diablo was released and the makers have yet not shared any solid information on the sequel. The fans of the Diablo series and gamers all over the world are angry, which was made worse when Blizzard in the last year’s BlizzCon announced about developing a mobile game bases on the Diablo series.

A lot of people have been asking me about Diablo 4, so here is my take:
1) Congrats to Blizzard on the announcement!
2) The look is much closer to D2 than D3 imo. They seem to want a grittier experience.
3) the story seems like it is going in a good direction.

It received so much of negative criticism that it was turned into a meme and one year has passed since the fiasco. The makers have finally revealed that they are working on Diablo 4 but it won’t be so easy as the Hong Kong issue could be a big stoppage in the release of the game.
Diablo 4 and Overwatch 2 to Release in 2020
There have been reports that Blizzard is working on a new game to be released next year and it could be Diablo 4. Chris Wilson, the game developer for ‘Path of Exile’ hinted that Blizzard will reveal about Diablo 4 in their next conference. There is no way they would be releasing a second iteration for the Diable Mobile and hence the fourth title of Diablo could be one of the possible games to be released in 2020.
There is also a rumor which states that Overwatch 2 could be another of the games to be released in 2020 as developers are working on both the titles but they might get delayed due to certain reasons involved.
Diablo 4 and the Hong Kong Issue
Even if Blizzard is somehow finished with the Diablo 4 game before their next BlizzCon, there is another issue at hand which could overshadow the whole thing. The company is facing a lot of negative criticism after it punished a Hearthstone player for voicing his support in the Hong Kong protest and the China issues.
It is common knowledge that Blizzard wants to appease the Chinese government just like NBA and even their employees are not happy with the stint. There were several protests at the event and so far only a trailer for Diablo 4 was showcased with no confirmed release date.
