On the Game of Thrones set

During their shoot, Massie arrived on the location for season 8 where everyone was talking about the third episode. She was unaware of the fact that Arya Stark kills the Night King.

She had no clue because she hadn’t read the season 8 scripts. Director Miguel Sapochnik also approached her to ask whether she has read the scripts or not.

However, the director refused to tell her about the third episode. Maisie couldn’t understand his reluctant behavior. She had many things going on her mind related to the death of the Night King.

Later on, the cast finally reached the end of Game of Thrones Season 8 episode 3. And Arya finally killed the Night King with her Valyrian steel dagger.

Ending scene of Episode 3

Maisie thought some viewers might have higher expectations. Some wanted him to die by the hands of Jon Snow. Despite all odds, she completely nailed it!

However, she accepted the idea and shot for the scene where Melisandre talks her about the conversation they had in Season 3 when they met “brown eyes, blue eyes, green eye. eyes you will shut forever”.

While shooting the scene, Maisie realized that the scene takes her back to season 3. And killing Night King was written in her fate. Even Harington was shocked that Arya was the one to kill Night King, but he accepted it.

However, some viewers might be frustrated with the ending scene. It seems like the director’s motive was to get them convinced Jon was going to kill the Night King and then change the plot.
