Game of Thrones Season 8 is finally on air and we are all predicting the climaxes which apparently never match with the plot. Everybody was sure that the Crypts were safe for kids and ladies during the battle against the Night King.

But after the release of 8th season, some fans predicted that the army would reach inside the Crypts. And guess what? They were partially right! The Night King’s army was not only present outside, but also inside the castle. No one was safe from the army of the dead.

The Crypt has always been a sacred part of the Stark family. Most of the family members were buried there which includes Lyanna, and many Lords and Kings of Winterfell.

Additionally, statues were made to honor them. Their graves were protected by swords and stone wolves to keep the spirits of deceased locked in their graves.

Fans were speculating something scary to happen in the Crypt of Winterfell after watching the official trailer of Game Of Thrones season 8. In the third episode, no one in Winterfell thought about one issue and that is the children and women were not alone in the crypt.

They were hiding in the crypt filled with deceased bodies of the Starks. When the Night King entered the castle, he resurrected the deceased Starks from their burial sites along with the other dead soldiers.

So the dead Starks rose from their tombs as a part of the dead army and began to kill everyone inside the crypt.

Who was hidden in the Crypt?

Many people were hidden in the crypt which includes Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage), Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner), Missandei (Nathalie Emmanuel), Lord Varys (Conleth Hill) as well as Gilly (Hannah Murray.

Luckily, Gilly was successful in escaping the Crypt when the dead Starks were resurrected. On the other hand, Tyrion and Sansa experienced an emotional moment while they were hiding behind a huge stone.
