The Winds of Winter fans have another bad news as George RR Martin has taken another massive project and the book writing process has stopped again. Martin recently confirmed on Twitter that he is developing an HBO series based on the Roadmarks novel by Roger Zelazny.
While it is great news for the Roadmarks readers, the Game of Thrones fandom is upset that The Winds of Winter is now pushed back once again. George RR Martin always keeps finding reasons to delay Winds of Winter and the Roadmarks HBO series is the latest one.
George RR Martin is Developing HBO Series based on Roadmarks Book
George RR Martin has finally confirmed the rumors regarding a new HBO series in development based on the Roadmarks novel. Roger Zelazny is no longer in this world but his works continue to inspire everyone and it will make a great science fiction series as the story involves time-travel and alternate realities.
The story broke a few days ago, and is now all over the internet: I am developing a new series for HBO, a science fiction show based on ROADMARKS, a novel by the late great Roger Zelazny. And what do you know — the story is actually true. https://t.co/eUYqgKzqfp

Although, Martin adds that projects in development don’t necessarily mean that the series will see the light of day and it would still take a long time to finalize. HBO and other studios have worked with George RR Martin many times before as the author is an expert at adapting sci-fi or fantasy novels into TV series.
The Winds of Winter is put on a Backburner once again
The Winds of Winter release date is now further delayed as George RR Martin will get busy with the Roadmarks HBO series. Most of the ASOIAF series fans are upset that GRRM keeps delaying the book and it will never see the light of the day. The Winds of Winter will now become an incomplete story that will haunt everyone because Martin decided to waste his time on other projects as he has already given up on his books.
