GTA 6 Release Date, Console Updates- Rockstar has Big Plans for PS5 and Xbox Series X Titles

GTA 6 game has still not come out and we have entered 2021 which means fans have to wait further. Rockstar Games made a presentation at the recent Sony PlayStation 5 launch and everyone thought it would be regarding the sixth Grand Theft Auto installment. But to everyone’s disappointment, Rockstar just revealed new versions for GTA 5 and GTA Online for the next-gen consoles PS5 and Xbox Series X.

Although, that doesn’t mean GTA 6 is not in development as there are several instances that prove Rockstar is working on the latest version of the game and it would be bigger than ever. There are new reports that suggest GTA 6 would break all the records when the title comes out on PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles.

GTA 6 Release Date and Game Launch

GTA 6 release date is still one of the biggest mysteries as no one knows when the game is coming out. Even Rockstar studios don’t have a concrete timeline and they are just making sure that the gaming experience exceeds the expectations. There are reports that explain that Rockstar is waiting for the next-gen consoles to become mainstream over the next few years so that GTA 6 can be exclusive without worrying about any compatibility issues.

Some rumors claim that GTA 6 release date will be set in September 2023 that will make an entire decade after the GTA 5 launch date. It also fits the timeline where PS5 and Xbox Series S will become a household name and Grand Theft Auto 6 could shatter all the records on the launch day.

Rockstar Games is in no rush to launch the GTA 6 title and will take its time to make sure the game is properly developed. Bethesda kind of messed up with the Fallout 76 release as it is an incomplete AAA title that is not suitable for both the older and newer consoles.

It is why Rockstar is developing GTA 6 while keeping in mind the specs about PS5, Xbox Series X, and other next-gen consoles. It would be a big gamble if GTA 6 is not compatible with PS4 or lower and other Xbox consoles, but that could pay out well too. GTA 6 is still not announced officially and until then all the leaks about the game should be taken with a grain of salt.
