Who let the dogs out?! Kansas City votes to raise the 29-year-old ban from pit bulls. We love dogs, don’t we? we have our gallery filled with pictures and screenshots of dogs and we still drool for more. Bark from a retriever is enough to erect all our maternal instincts. I am sure every teenage couple has planned their families with dogs in it. while we express our love for dogs through minimal activities, Kansas has done something super cute.
Kansas City broke it’s silence and voted to get pit bulls the life they’ve deserved for 29 years. The Commission Chambers in Kansas City, Kansas saw a huge wave of people come together to repeal the ban on pit bulls which has been levied for the past 29 years.
Pitbulls and aggressiveness
Pit bulls have always been seen as blood driven breeds of dogs who are extremely aggressive and may sometimes attack even their owners out of rage. But people have denied judging a dog by their traits or personality just as one shouldn’t judge a person by their looks.
The commission voted to repeal the ban by 6-3 votes. The 3 voters in favor of the ban were closely associated with a woman named Jimmie Mae McConnell, who was aged 71 was killed by a pit bull in 2006.
Such acts restore faith in humanity and love and kindness towards animals. People of Kansas city strongly believe that pit bulls shouldn’t be deprived of a happy livelihood because of a few incidents that happened in the past.
Such incidents can be prevented with the right kind of measures rather than banning the breed totally. Kudos Kansas City!!! Woof woof with the puppy eyes from your beloved pit bulls and also from all the hoomans worldwide!
