Being an entrepreneur and my own boss has been one of the most rewarding challenges I’ve been blessed with in my life. What’s made it possible for me after all of these years has been the direct line of communication with my fans and the public. I am always listening, learning and growing – I so appreciate the passion and varied perspectives that people bring to me. When I announced the name of my shapewear line, I did so with the best intentions in mind. My brands and products are built with inclusivity and diversity at their core and after careful thought and consideration, I will be launching my Solutionwear brand under a new name. I will be in touch soon. Thank you for your understanding and support always.

The fashionista businesswoman, Kim Kardashian West has published a very cognitive statement through both her Twitter and Instagram accounts.
She told her fans;
After careful thoughts and considerations, I have decided to launch my  Solutionwears under a new brand name.
It was not until yesterday that she agrees to drop the name. Mrs. Kardashian West has recently announced her plans to launch a new line of shapewears, going by the brand, Kimono.

Meanwhile, she was all set with the name and went round the clocks to trademark the word “kimono” for future preferences. But, it seems that her efforts solely headed in vain.
In Japanese culture, a kimono is defined as a long V-necked gown with wide, long sleeves. People can only tie Kimonos across the chest over left to right direction with a sash, called obi. The ancestral origins of kimono dates back to 16th century.

The launch raged the Japanese and consequently faced an immediate backlash from people around the globe. They denounced their disapproval of the brand with a Twitter hashtag #KimOhNo.

The issue took further toll when mayor of Kyoto wrote an open letter to discern Kim Kardashian West for the “inappropriate” act.
Kadokawa faintly malign against West while stating:
We think that ‘Kimono’ names are the asset shared with all those humans who love Kimono. People around the world respect their culture and therefore Kimonos should not be monopolized.
Finally, the battle of allegations shots down with Mrs.West’s big step. It looks obvious by the affair that, not all publicity seems to be a good publicity.

The brand-name, Kimono was enough to snatch a considerable amount of Asian breeds from Kim.
Her full statement reads as:
I have built my products and brands with inclusivity and diversity. So, after careful thoughts and consideration, I will be launching my Solution -wear under a new brand-name. I will keep in touch and will revert soon. Thank you for your warm support and understanding.
So for now, Kim Kardashian West comes out clean. We hope no other counter-blasts follow her in her future ventures.
