Manchester United are willing to offer a massive £210k per week pay hike to Paul Pogba in a bid to stop him going “elsewhere”. The Frenchman is looking to make a move after the recent bust-up with coach Jose Mourinho.
Paul Pogba rumoured to move out
Reports of Paul Pogba leaving Old Trafford have been doing rounds from quite a while now. Pogba also confirmed his intentions of making a move in a recent interview with BeIn Sports.
“I am thinking of this: To have a new challenge somewhere else,” Pogba said.
“For me, I have been for three years in Manchester and have been doing great; some good moments and some bad moments, like everybody. Like everywhere else.

“After this season and everything that happened this season, with my season being my best season as well… I think for me it could be a good time to have a new challenge somewhere else.”
Ole Gunnar’s side though is trying to do everything they can to stop the move. The 26-year-old French striker is a major part of United’s plans for the 2019-20 season. They are even prepared to pay up to £500k a week according to reports by Daily Mail.
If the pay hike does take place, Pogba will become one of the highest paid athletes right now. United are already paying £500 a week to Chile winger Alexis Sanchez.
Reasons for Pogba to make a move
Paul Pogba has blown hot and cold in the 3 years at Old Trafford. His lack of consistency has also led to criticism by coach Jose Mourinho. Pogba though enjoyed his best till date last year at Man United. He scored 24 goals and 23 assists in United’s 55 wins in 2018.

According to reports Real Madrid has offered $90m for Pogba’s services this season. Juventus is also among the elite list of franchises ready to shell out big money for the World Cup star.
It will be interesting to see if he actually accepts Man United’s offer after his controversial stay there. The kind of offers he is getting will also play a part in the decision.
