Anthony Davis, PF
After the first season’s end with Lakers, Davis may change team. He already has an option of $28.75 million available for the 2020-2021 season. He also has the option to stay with Lakers, but it seems that he may opt differently.
Contrary to his earlier plans, there are huge changes that Davis will go with the $28.75 million option. The COVID-19 pandemic and the financial inflexibility it brought along has affected the player’s decision.
Fred VanVleet, PG
VanVleet has a big hand in the victory of the Toronto Raptors. His performance has improved this season and has been given a starting role. His average is 17.6 points, 6.6 assists and 1.9 steals per contest. The Raptors may not bring back all of their players as several players may hit free agency.
Earlier in April, VanVleet talked about signing a shorter pact due to uncertainity in the salary cap in future.
