Andre Iguodala could very soon be reuniting with his former team Golden State Warriors and even play in the 2019-20 NBA season for them. The former NBA Finals MVP seems to have a mutual agreement for a reunion in the bay area. While the Warriors side is no longer the champion team it was for the last few years, having Iguodala back would boost their core.

Andre Iguodala played six seasons for the GS Warriors and he was traded to the Memphis Grizzlies last season. But the Grizzlies have no intention to use the veteran defenders and are just looking to trade him for future picks. Lakers, Clippers and Mavericks are also in the race to sign Iguodala, but the Warriors seem to be his preferred team for a reunion trade deal.
Andre Iguodala has Special Connection with Warriors
Golden State Warriors are having a tough time in this season as half of their star players have left the team and the other half are injured including Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson. It makes sense for them to get Andre Iguodala who was an integral part of their championship run throughout the years.
Even Iggy is deeply connected with the people in that organization which matters and he has won 3 NBA championship titles with the Warriors and also one player of the series, ie. MVP award. It is why Andre Iguodala still lives in San Francisco and at the age of 35 years, he might not win another NBA title but will get a chance to wear blue and yellow again playing for the Dubs side.
Trade Deal Options for Iguodala and Memphis Grizzlies
Memphis Grizzlies wants to trade out Andre Iguodala and are hoping that one of the teams offers future first-round draft picks along with some young assets. While teams such as Lakers and Clippers are very much interested in getting the services of Iguodala, they would rather wait for Grizzlies to buy him out. Even the Dallas Mavericks are waiting to sign Iggy but the same problem of trade or buyout exists.

Golden State Warriors can take the risk and make a trade deal with Memphis Grizzlies to get Andre Iguodala back in their team. The Warriors are already dealing with a lot of injuries and don’t have title chances this season. Eric Paschall and D’Angelo Russell are carrying the team and reuniting with Iguodala would give them a shot at the playoffs.
