Andre Iguodala was traded from Golden State Warriors to the team of Memphis Grizzlies who waved him off and are looking for a possible trade deal for him. The Grizzlies are under negotiations with a lot of NBA teams and would only buy out his contract if there are no buyers for the talented defenders, which won’t likely happen.
A lot of NBA sides are interested in Iguodala and the two LA teams Lakers and Clippers are the most probable trade destination for the 35-year-old star. As per the reports, the 2015 NBA finals MVP will most likely pick the Los Angeles Lakers and play alongside LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Here is why Andre Iguodala will pick the Lakers over the Clippers in the NBA 2019-20 season.
LA Clippers are Already Full
Los Angeles Clippers are looking strong for the next NBA finals and they even defeated the Lakers in their first game which proves how well they are functioning. Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, Lou Williams, and other stars are already doing great and they don’t need other supporting players.
Further, Andre Iguodala and Kawhi Leonard are both defenders which makes him almost useless in the team roster. Iguodala will also prefer the Lakers and hence the Clippers deal might not happen for sure.
Lakers needs Andre Iguodala
Los Angeles Lakers on the other hand are a good team that needs a little more support in the backcourt. Anthony Davis has been given the main responsibilities of scoring and LeBron James is more of an assist guy now. The Lakers could surely use Andre Iguodala and very soon DeMarcus Cousins will be joining the team after recovering from his ACL injury.
“He’s going to the Lakers. I’ve had four different players tell me that. Every player I talk to tells me that.”

Avery Bradley and Dwight Howard were bought out by Grizzlies and signed with Lakers. May Andre Iguodala be next…

Davis, James, Cousins, and Iguodala can form the best team formation which none of the NBA sides could defeat. Rob Pelinka is the current general manager of the Lakers who was also the former agent of Andre Iguodala. The two have a great bond and Iguodala donning the purple and gold jersey for another NBA championship could be true very soon.
