NBA Rumors: Draymond Green Trade Deal with Portland Trail Blazers Confirmed?

Draymond Green Trade Deal with Portland Trail Blazers is Confirmed

Draymond Green doesn’t have a future left in the Golden State Warriors as the team is broken with players leaving them and the remaining getting injured. The Warriors dynasty was over the day Kevin Durant left the team and now with the injury of Stephen Curry, they might even miss out on the playoffs this NBA season.

Green himself is not at his hundred percent health and there is so much load in the Warriors roster he may risk his health by playing for them. The Portland Trail Blazers are also having a very bad NBA season and are at 3-6 with losing four games in a row. In such a situation, a trade deal between Draymond Green and Trail Blazers could be ideal as the team also plans to form a power trio of Green, McCollum and Lillard.

The Portland Trail Blazers are in a tough situation right now as, despite their players scoring, the team is losing games with little margins. Even after Damian Lillard scored 60 points in the last game against the Brooklyn Nets, the team lost the game at 115-119. The reason being no other player crossing the mark of 15 and that is where they lack, another big man to score.

It is where Draymond Green comes into the picture who has proven his worth many times in the Warriors and was able to take the team to victory even in games Kevin Durant was missing. Portland won’t mind spending a bit to get Green as there are a lot of NBA games remaining in the 2019-20 regular season and they can still make it to the playoffs.

Draymond Green will be a perfect fit next to Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum and the Portland Trail Blazers can have their own power trio. The trade deal won’t be possible before the February 2020 NBA trade deadline and Trail Blazers have to wait till that and keep their playoffs chances alive.

Draymond Green has an average of 9.4 points, 7.8 rebounds, 5.2 assists, and 1.4 steals while shooting 42.9 percent from the field and 30.8 percent from beyond the arc in the five games played during the NBA 2019-20. The 29-year-old power forward also works great as a defender, rebounder, playmaker, and floor spacer and can form an amazing team with Lillard and McCollum for the Portland Trail Blazers.
