D’Angelo Russell is right now one of the best players in Golden State Warriors with half of the team injured and another half who left in the 2019 free agency. But at the same time, the Dubs after ruling NBA for five years have lost it badly in the 2019-20 season and they need to rebuild. The Warriors will have no option but to trade D’Angelo Russell for which they are asking high prices or assets in exchange.
NBA trade deadline is very close and with it, the reports of Warrior trading Russell are also surfacing. But NBA experts have made it clear that the Golden State Warriors are in no hurry to trade the 2nd overall pick of 2015 NBA draft and will ask such a high price for D’Angelo Russell, hardly any NBA team will agree to the terms.
Warriors wants NBA Assets in Exchange for D’Angelo Russell
NBA experts Adrian Wojnarowski and Zach Lowe have to say that D’Angelo will play for the Golden State Warriors in this season or even after that. The Dubs know that he is too valuable to be traded and would likely wait for the perfect opportunity and get important NBA assets in return.
Woj believes the Warriors will not trade D’angelo Russell until after the season is over, at the earliest.
He also mentioned them potentially packaging D’lo with there 2020 draft pick, which could be the # 1 pick.

Warriors should not be looking to trade D’Angelo Russell. They should be looking to trade Draymond Green and his contract in combination with their 1st round pick.

If one of the NBA teams offers such a deal that is hard to refuse, then only the Warriors side will sign out the 23-year-old guard. The only problem is that Warriors are facing the luxury tax limit and to avoid that they can either make small trades for other players or ask something in exchange for D’Angelo Russell which can resolve the budget crisis.
D’Angelo Russell and Giannis Antentokounmpo Exchange Deal
Giannis Antentokounmpo from the Milwaukee Bucks will become a free agent after the next season and the Warriors have their eyes set on him since the last few months. It won’t be a surprise if the Dubs use D’Angelo Russell as a trading chip to get Giannis from the Bucks.
It is rumored that Giannis Antentokounmpo wants to play with the Golden State Warriors alongside Stephen Curry and win his first NBA title. It is why Giannis could reject the supermax contract from Milwaukee Bucks and the Warriors could send Russell to make the deal even. The Dubs are currently at 5-23 in the lower end of Western Conference, they need to rebuild even if it means trading out big names.
