NFL Rumors: Dallas Cowboys to Fire Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliot for the Upset Loss against the Jets

NFL Dallas Cowboys Dak Prescott Ezekiel Elliot Week 6 Jets

Dallas Cowboys has now become the most polarising team in the NFL 2019 season with the last Sunday game against the New York Jets. The Cowboys were once 3-0 and had the best odds for Super Bowl and almost a guaranteed division championship. But with the Blunder they made against the winless Jets team, it is evident now that they won’t even reach the playoffs.

Dak Prescott may have rushed some yards in the Cowboys vs Jets game, but he was not able to score a single touchdown. Sam Darnold who returned to the Jets after the mono disease performed much better and took his team to victory. Ezekiel Elliot might be doing his job but it is not enough as he can’t make the Cowboys win any of the games. Jerry Jones, the owner of Dallas Cowboys is no mood to tolerate the failure and could fire Prescott and Elliot very soon.

The Cowboys couldn’t even defeat the New Orleans Saints who were playing without their starting quarterback Drew Brees and it revealed their shortcomings. The Green Bay Packers absolutely destroyed the Cowboys even though Aaron Rodgers performed average and considerably lower than his usual game.

But the New York Jets were 0-4 before the game and them leading the Cowboys from the first half raises some questions. The Jets were leading the score by 21-6 during the first half, Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliot could do nothing to level it and finally lost the game at 24-22. Dallas Cowboys were 3-0 about three weeks ago and now they are 3-3 in the NFL 2019 season.

Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliot Only Perform against Weak Teams

Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliot Only Perform against Weak Teams

Dak Prescott was called as the top quarterback of 2019 NFL season after playing against three of the weakest teams. The Dolphins are yet winless, the Redskins have issues with their coach and only managed to beat the Dolphins in Week 6 game. The New York Giants in the Eli Manning era were an absolute disaster and Prescott was hailed as a hero.

But he is nothing but an above-average quarterback and the same can be said for their running back Ezekiel Elliot. Saints and Jets are not even the strongest teams and yet Prescott and Elliot failed badly, it is going to get tougher with time and it won’t be a surprise if the Cowboys look for other QBs and RBs in the October 29 trade deadline.
