One Punch Man Chapter 142 is finally out and most of the manga fandom is actually confused. It should have One Punch Man Chapter 141 next in the manga series as everyone was waiting for it for the past few weeks.

But Yusuke Murata dropped One Punch Man 142 chapter out of random and many of the readers thinks it could be a typo where they wrote 142 instead of 141 in the chapter number section.
However, that is not the case with the manga series as it is much more complicated than it seems. Here are more details on One Punch Man Chapter 142 and details on the missing Chapter 141 in the manga series.
One Punch Man Chapter 142 and Chapter 141 Confusion
One Punch. Man Chapter 142 has arrived before Chapter 141 because Yusuke Murata has decided to draw that before the other one. Since the manga storyline is based on the One Punch Man webcomic by ONE, there have been many instances where Murata has picked up a chapter from the middle or redrawn stuff whenever he felt like it.
Since OPM Chapters 140 and 141 are very boring, Murata might have decided to skip Chapter 141 and proceeded to draw Chapter 142 at the moment. One Punch Man Chapter 141 has been skipped for the moment and it will only be out once Yusuke Murata decides to work on that.
One Punch Man Manga and Webcomic Connection
One Punch Man manga series by Yusuke Murata is based on the One Punch Man webcomic by ONE and they are mostly interconnected. While there are many changes in both the stories, the overall outline of events is mostly the same most of the time.
The character designs and backstory are altered a bit but overall One Punch Man manga story remains the same and the webcomic acts as a source material for it. It is how Murata decided to skip some webcomic pages and adapt things after that into the manga and hence the whole One Punch Man Chapter 141 and Chapter 142 confusion is created.
