One Punch Man Season 3 is still in development and the fans might have to wait longer to see Saitama on their TV screens once again. While every anime has a delay in between two seasons as it takes time for filming the animation, but One Punch Man is getting delayed due to some other reasons.

The hardcore fans of One Punch Man are not happy with the current J.C. Staff animation studio and they want the original creators to come back for the third season. If the producers somehow agree to this, One Punch Man season 3 might be delayed for a few years and the anime will release as late as 2022.

One Punch Man season 2 was released this year after so many years of waiting following the first season. Even though it was good, the second season received a lot of criticism regarding its poor animations style, pacing and not adapting manga storylines properly. While every One Punch Man fan wants a third season, not all of them are in a hurry and are ready to wait for more if it improves the anime quality.

More than thousands of fans have signed an online petition to change the animation studio of One Punch Man season 3 from J.C. Staff to Madhouse, who made the first season. Further, they want the season 1 director Shingo Natsume to replace season 2’s director Chikara Sakurai. Viz Media, the production house of One Punch Man are yet to say anything regarding the matter. But if they actually change the studio like last time, it will delay the release date of One Punch Man season 3 and it won’t come out before 2022 in any condition.

There is another thing to discuss the One Punch Man season 3 which is the storyline as which manga chapter does it adapts. The second season ended and it only covered the early chapters of Monster Association Arc, which is still an ongoing arc in the manga series. Some fans are speculating that the makers are waiting for manga to finish so that they can end the story with One Punch Man season 3 and it would have double the episodes in a two-cour release.
