Pence supports Trump in defense of barring pride flags on US embassy flagpoles. Before we dive into the essence of the news, happy pride month to all the beautiful souls who have struggled their way. We as a society lack a lot when it comes to tolerance and compassion. We have a bad habit of blaming the ‘society’ without considering that we are a part of it too.
The LGBTQ community has been facing quite a lot. The other gender preferences kept exerting pressure over them just because of their preferences. All of this is finally dissolving into this new age where we as a ‘society’ are learning to accept the LGBTQ community. A revolution always has some barriers which make it ‘overbaked’. Something of this sort is also happening with the ‘pride revolution’.

In 2016, Obama set rules for displaying the pride flags on the US embassies flagpoles. The LGBTQ community abode by them too. The rules said that the pride flag has to be smaller than the American flag and they were to soar beneath them. The State Department too approved of this.
Pence and his support for Trump’s orders
Pence says that ‘was the right decision’ that the government has taken. Pride month is being celebrated in full-fledged enthusiasm in every region. Considering the occasion, four US states asked for barring the pride flag in US embassies flagpoles. This demand was declined by the government and Pence supports it.
The State Department’s take
The State Department says that the one and only American flag should be aloof at the US embassies. More or less every official authority agrees to it. In fact, a lot of people from the LGBTQ community might agree to it too. When it comes to embassies, America is representing every citizen in it. Not just a man or a woman or a transgender but every single person who resides in the American boundaries.
As we celebrate LGBT Pride Month and recognize the outstanding contributions LGBT people have made to our great Nation, let us also stand in solidarity with the many LGBT people who live in dozens of countries worldwide that punish, imprison, or even execute individuals….

That is why The Stated Department rejected the barring of pride flags in the embassies. Trump wished the LGBTQ folks a happy pride month and the enthusiasm is still aflare.
