Queen Elizabeth might be giving up her royal throne soon to Prince Charles as the Coronavirus pandemic can prove fatal to her. The monarch is already 94-years-old and despite having no major health problems till now, won’t take the risk of getting COVID-19 infection. The royal family will be largely affected by the pandemic and Queen Elizabeth may be forced to abdicate her throne and pass it on to Prince Charles.
As per the reports, the Queen can’t resume her duties while putting herself at the risk of Coronavirus infection, her health would be in large jeopardy. It is why Prince Charles, who is already immune to the virus can be given the throne and royal duties very soon as Queen Elizabeth steps down for the first time.
Queen Elizabeth can’t continue Royal Duties in COVID-19 Pandemic
Queen Elizabeth can’t go on meeting people like earlier as the COVID-19 virus is not going soon and will stay for several months. The queen has always loved to go out and meet people, but that can’t be continued as it will be too risky.
The monarch can’t carry out investments, meet ambassadors, do walkabouts and visit places without getting close to people. If she somehow gets the virus, her health would be at risk and it could even prove fatal to Prince Philip. It will be the best for Queen Elizabeth to step down and not continue her royal duties until there is a vaccine for coronavirus.
Prince Charles is Immune to Coronavirus to have the Throne
Prince Charles is the best candidate right now to take over the throne and grab hold of the royal duties. Even though Prince Charles is over 70 years old, he has already got the virus and is probably immune to COVID-19 now. It would be in the best interest of everyone to give Prince Charles a chance to rule the monarch and make sure everyone is safe from the virus. However, some of the reports claim that the Royal Family will go virtual and adapt to the situation with zoom meetings, white gloves and social distancing.
