‘Ready or Not’ Trailer: I am So Ready for the Horror-Comedy Movie

The recent years have seen some critically-acclaimed horror movies to vividly entertain us. But somewhere inside, I really craved for the vaunted fusion of horror with comedy. “It” may have garnered a billion dollar worldwide but it can never spawn the same buzz, “Shaun of the Dead” created a decade ago.

Coming back to the movie, the story revolves around a newly-married bride Grace(Samara Weaving) tying knot with her rich, eccentric lover, Alex de Lomas played by Mark O’Brien.

It’s already a scary prospect to leave your house and become a part of someone else’s family, you know nothing about. The fear may spring up high, if you gotta know that a deadly, twisted tradition is awaiting your presence at the house.

So, in order to truly join the crazy clan, you need to pass the fatal tradition and with flying colors. The game is simple- you need to survive a hit and trial chance with in-laws until the next sunrise.

What makes the movie stimulating and special

Ready or Not subtly weaves a woman’s deepest fears in a slap-sticking plot. The metaphor used is minute yet ponderous. It follows the general feelings of a bride, when she leaves her familiar grounds for spending her whole life in a new territory. The movie depicts the same emotions in the most psychic way.

The trailer has left me with a more drolling lesson- it’s better to have random hook-ups than getting straightly married.

The movie trailer is going fantastic among viewers, right now. Ready or Not is enriched with sublime talents like Andie MacDowell and Henry Czerny. Since, we can’t be judging the whole movie  by a single teaser.

It will be intriguing to see the fusion of terror, suspense, comedy and horror, all together in a two-hour movie. The movie has a certain potential and we hope, it will stand up to our expectations.

Matt Bettinelli-Olpin & Tyler Gillett has simultaneously directed the movie. Whilst, the movie is together penned down by Guy Busick & R. Christopher Murphy. “Ready or Not” will be hitting the theatre screens on August 23, 2019.
