Rick and Morty Season 5 release date should be around somewhere near the end of this year as the first five episodes are almost animated. Justin Roiland revealed that they can finish the first five episodes very soon and voice work is the last step and won’t take much time. It can be even completed without gathering in a studio as all the cast members are provided microphones at their homes to record their lines.
However, the animation of the rest of the episodes has been delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and it might take till 2021 to resume things. It means Rick and Morty season 5 can release in the end of 2020 and take a break like the fourth season or the makers can wait and release all episodes together in mid-2021.
