Sony PS5 and Microsoft Xbox Series X gaming console could face a shortage at the launch due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. There are more chances that PlayStation 5 production is more affected as reports are saying that it will have two variant models.
While Microsoft has revealed a lot of new details about Xbox Series X, Sony has been almost silent on the PS5 specs and features. But as per some leaked patents, Sony PS5 and PS5 Pro will be the two models that will be launched this year. The PlayStation 5 will focus on a more immersive experience as the gaming platform will have a launch event soon.
Sony PS5 will have Two Models
Sony PlayStation 5 base model is expected to have nine teraflops storage capacity but the high-end configuration model can have similar or more powerful specs than the respective Xbox unit. It is possible that the entry-level console is named PS5 where the more powerful variant will be labeled as the PS5 Pro.

It won’t be the first time that Sony will release two variants of its gaming console as it has happened before with PS4 Pro which was released several years after the regular PS4. Hence, fans could expect two models from Sony PlayStation 5 series: PS5 and PS5 Pro at the launch event.
Sony PlayStation 5 Launch and Xbox Series X Comparison
Sony PlayStation 5 will have to up their game as Xbox makers are confident to win the console war this year. Microsoft has already revealed the basic details of their device and it looks way better than the Sony console. Also, if the leaked specs of PS5 are true then Xbox Series X will prove to a much better upgrade over it. Sony has already dropped out of gaming events such as PAX East and GDC 2020, which makes it difficult to guess when the PS5 will debut officially.
