The Swedish media-service provider, Spotify is reportedly working on launching a new feature to Social Listening that will enable you and your mates to share your headsets while listening to music together.

Nowadays, Spotify is keen on making the media-sharing more transparent and powerful. It has come up with exciting themes and display over years.
Another feature that’s going to rouse the users includes multiple users building and controlling single playlists through independent devices.
They call it as Social Listening on Spotify we call it as “music clustering.” Software engineer Jane Manchun Wong has recently discovered the feature on the app’s android code.
Amidst the speculations
Until now, users were only able to kee track of streaming music with their friends and maintaining stocks for playlists. But speculations are being made for a real-time sharing feature.
We hope to have some joint music appreciating sessions soon.
Spotify hasn’t issued any official statement about launching dates of the feature. Their spokesperson asked the media to be patient for a while. He further told that they are always experimenting with new products.But on this note, they cannot share more about the feature.
Much before Spotify, the lesser transient Turntable.fm came up with the similar feature. Where people from different locations enjoyed same playlists.
However, Social Listening of Spotify is rather different in the approach. It will be allowing each participant to modify, edit or share the playlist with other members.
Spotify is keen on giving a tough competition to it’s main rival, Apple Music through the feature. The chances of Spotify topping market charts are higher after the mega-launch.
Spotify Social Listening: How will the feature work?
We can just now speculate on the working of new update.
It seems that Spotify will be providing a new option of “Connect with Friends” in dropdown menu of Social Listening.
The connections shall be made through scanning QR-style scan codes. The scanning of QRs will grant access to users for joint sessions for listening music .
The new update will soon be made available on Playstore and iOs store.
