The Elder Scrolls 6 Update- Bethesda doesn't wants the Game to become X-Box Exclusive

The Elder Scrolls 6 is one of the most anticipated games right now and fans are looking forward to what Bethesda has in the stores. However, new rumors are indicating that Xbox is trying to make the upcoming Elder Scrolls game exclusive for their consoles. Microsoft and Sony are acquiring new game studios each day to make their gaming console more appealing to the customers.

With the recent deal where Microsoft took over Zenimax Media and it’s game publisher Bethesda Softworks for $7.5 billion, things have been totally changed in the PS5 vs Xbox Series X console battle. Although the developers at Bethesda studios don’t want “The Elders Scroll 6” to become Xbox exclusive and it will be interesting to see what happens in the near future.

The Elder Scrolls 6 director Todd Howard recently gave an interview where he shared some updates on the upcoming Bethesda titles and their console exclusivity. Phil Spencer, the Xbox boss also gave a statement where he said that the Bethesda games being multiformat will be a case to case basis.

It simply means that Microsoft will offer some of the games on other platforms such as PC, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch, whereas some titles will stay exclusive to the Xbox consoles.

We do view it and always have by ourselves, on a case-by-case basis. We’ll do that as part of Microsoft as well. They’ve been pretty open on other platforms and not just within Xbox. This is an outside perspective, but if you go back ten years at Microsoft, you wouldn’t expect them to have a full Office suite on an iPhone either.

Howards says that there are several Elder Scrolls titles such as Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim‘s DLC which are console exclusive. But there is no way Bethesda will let the sixth Elder Scrolls become an Xbox exclusive as it is very hard to imagine.
