The Matrix 4 is perhaps one of the most awaited movies of the time. The Matrix is a sci-fi action franchise. Lana Wachowski is the director of the movie. For The Matrix 4, Warner Bros. and Village Roadshow have decided to work together.
After The Matrix 4’s announcement back in October 2019, fans went into a state of constant excitement. Toby Emmerich, boss at Warner Bros Studios, expressed his excitement about making The Matrix 4 with Lana. He commended her on being a true visionary filmmaker. Lana is also producer of this new chapter.

The Matrix 4: Release Date
21st May 2021 is the currently scheduled release date in the UK and the US, going by the official announcement. However, the shooting has come to a standstill owing to the worldwide lockdowns because of the pandemic. Interestingly enough, Keanu Reeves’ John Wick was also initially scheduled for release on the same date.
Filming commenced in February this year but was soon halted in March. Although no announcements have been made confirming a delayed release, it is possible there may be changes in the date based on how to pandemic crisis unfolds in the coming days.

The Matrix 4: Cast
Familiar faces will reappear in The Matrix 4. Neo will be played by Keanu Reeves, Trinity by Carrie-Anne Moss, and Niobe by Jada Pinkett. Lambert Wilson has commented that he will reprise his role as The Merovingian for as long as he can. In that case, reappearance of his wife Persephone may also become certain.
The Matrix 4: Plot Direction
The makers have dropped no hints regarding the plot. It is difficult to predict where the plot will head. But we do know that along with Lana, there are 2 more co-writers Aleksandar Hemon and David Mitchell. They are authors of The Lazarus Project and Cloud Atlas so we can certainly expect the plot to be dense.
