The Sims 5 leaked reports from one of the EA insiders claim that the game development has finally started. Although, the life simulation title is in very early stages and won’t release before 2023.
Fans are happy that Sims 5 is finally confirmed but it will be a long wait before they can get their hands on the game. While the leaker has no proof to back his claim, we must take the reports of “The Sims 5” release date confirmed with a grain of salt.
The Sims 5 Leaks: Game is in Early Development Stages
The Sims 5 game won’t be announced this year as EA has not mentioned the title in their annual event. There is a leaked report on the Sims 5 Reddit page which claims that the game is in the early development stage and won’t come out until 2023. It also mentions that the DLCs of Sims 4 will come out even after the release of Sims 5.
Many of the other Reddit users are calling it fake but the report is too detailed and nothing can be verified at this point. There are many instances when leaks are considered fake but then it comes out to be true, similar to Star Wars and Game of Thrones plot leaks. The Sims 5 leaks don’t mention any source of proof and hence it can’t be trusted at this point. However, it mentions a lot of details about The Sims 5 gameplay and hence fans are surely hooked on that.
The Sims 5 Release Date Update from EA and Maxis
The Sims 5 is in very early stages of development and this information might be true as EA and Maxis have not revealed anything about the game. The gaming studios are still planning to expand “The Sims 4” title with expansion packs for the next few years.
Although, EA CEO Andrew Wilson has talked about future Sims game will have multiplayer features similar to The Sims Online. It could be possible that Wilson was talking about The Sims 5 and hence the game is taking so much time.
