The Sims 5 is expected to come out soon but the lack of official updates has worried the real-life simulation game series fans. EA has been very secretive about the next Sims game and has only given out vague hints of new features that will be introduced in the future games.
The last expansion pack for TS4 called “Discovery University” came out in November 2019 and there are no more updates after that. The lack of expansion packs in the current Sims 4 game indicates that EA-Maxis are done with it and plans to introduce The Sims 5 very soon. Here are more details on “The Sims 5” release date, development speculations and new game features.
EA Plans for The Sims 5 Future
EA CEO Andrew Wilson recently shared a few updates about the future Sims game which was mostly about TS5 game. Wilson said that the next game will be compatible and specially designed for next-gen consoles such as Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5.

The Sims 5 will also have online features to connect with your friends on social media, interlink your profile and show real time changes. There are also plans to bring the multiplayer features back in the Sims series with TS5. It is also speculated that The Sims 5 will have VR support and extensive features to feel as real as possible in the Sims world.
The Sims 5 Release Date Speculations
The Sims 5 release date should be set somewhere in 2021 assuming the game developers are following a proper schedule. While the coronavirus pandemic has affected the entire world, TS5 development won’t be delayed much as it can easily be done remotely.
There are very fewer chances that The Sims 5 will come out this year, otherwise EA would have announced the game by now. The game trailers of such magnitude and popularity are usually released a year before the launch date. We are expecting that The Sims 5 trailer will come out before the end of this year, announcing the launch date as late 2021.
