The Three-Body Problem trilogy is collectively called Remembrance of Earth’s Past. The story was first published in 2006 in a science fiction magazine. In 2008, it was published as a book. Now, The Three-Body Problem is all set to release on Netflix.
Netflix has got the rights to make an adaptation of the trilogy. This will expand Netflix’s sci-fi offerings. True Blood’s Alexander Woo will also be a part of the show along with Weiss and Benioff. The executive producers of the show will be Rian Johnson and Ram Bergman.
Cixin will be the consulting producers of The Three-Body Problem. Ken Liu wrote the English translation of the trilogy. He will also be a consulting producer. Weiss and Benioff said,
Liu Cixin’s trilogy is the most ambitious science-fiction series we’ve read, taking readers on a journey from the 1960s until the end of time, from life on our pale blue dot to the distant fringes of the universe. We look forward to spending the next years of our lives bringing this to life for audiences around the world.
There is no premiere date set for The Three-Body Problem yet. It will take several years before we get to see the upcoming project on Netflix.
