George RR Martin has finally released a new book but to the disappointment of all the fans, it is not ‘The Winds of Winter’ unfortunately. The year 2020 has started and there is no news for the release date or publication status of ‘TWOW’ but out of the blue George comes up a new book called ‘Fire and Blood’ on which the new Game of Thrones prequel spinoff ‘House of Dragon’ will be based.
Fans are not happy with the 71-year-old author as he has been wasting time on other projects instead of writing the next book in ASOIAF series. It seems that GRRM has further delayed release date of ‘The Winds of Winter’ by coming with ‘Fire and Blood’ instead and is facing a huge backlash by his fanbase.
George RR Martin announces New Book, but it’s not TWOW
The Winds of Winter is the sixth book in ‘A Song of Ice and Fire’ which fans have been waiting for several years now. But George RR Martin is busy writing so many other projects and hence it is understandable for the delay. What makes it worse is that GRRM took time to write a completely new project for the HBO show and he couldn’t do the same about TWOW book.

Fans are not happy with GRRM launching Fire and Blood
Fans are not happy at all with George RR Martin and accusing him of giving priority to HBO show as they are giving him more money. GRRM promised that ‘The Winds of Winter’ will be out in Summer 2020 and yet as of now, there is no progress report.
Where the fuck is the "Winds of Winter?" It's been 9 years George, 9 YEARS! https://t.co/yx7PMMTA2s

Even in the comment section of Fire & Blood launch, everyone is expressing their anger and saying that it’s enough of the backstory shit, we don’t need this. we want the Winds of Winter and the books that will complete the series.
