The Winds of Winter was supposed to come out in August but it seems that George RR Martin has broken another deadline. The Game of Thrones writer was supposed to present Winds of Winter at the Worldcon event in New Zealand. While the COVID-19 pandemic changed the format of the event, awards and presentations were still done but Martin didn’t reveal TWOW book.
I sponsor an annual scholarship at the Odyssey Writers’ Workshop. It's called the MISKATONIC SCHOLARSHIP, for a promising new writer of cosmic horror. This year the winner of the Miskatonic Scholarship was SCOTT GRAY. Congratulations, Scott! https://t.co/DE2eqtpUtJ pic.twitter.com/UB5vZqvyee

Fans have been calling out George RR Martin for missing the deadline and asking to put him in prison as he promised that himself earlier. It seems that GRRM has now gone under hiding after breaking another deadline promise for The Winds of Winter release date.
George RR Martin missed another Winds of Winter Deadline
George RR Martin is writing Winds of Winter since the last decade and have made several promises on the release deadline. The latest date given by the 71-year-old author was this year’s Worldcon 2020 but sadly that too have passed without any progress.
If I don’t have ‘THE WINDS OF WINTER’ in hand when I arrive in New Zealand for Worldcon, you have here my formal written permission to imprison me in a small cabin on White Island, overlooking that lake of sulfuric acid, until I’m done
George RR Martin has missed another deadline for The Winds of Winter and fans are really angry on the author this time.
Martin is Hiding after not releasing Winds of Winter on Time
George RR Martin has gone totally silent even it has been two weeks since the Winds of Winter deadline has passed. Martin is kind of hiding in a cabin since the lockdown as he is more susceptible to the COVID-19 outbreak. George continues to write on his blog about other things, but there is no mention on The Winds of Winter release date or progress updates.
