The Witcher Season 2 would have been coming out next month if it wasn’t for the COVID-19 pandemic. Fans of the books, video games, series and Henry Cavill are eagerly waiting for the second season of Witcher and see Geralt of Rivia in action. While the storyline is based on “The Witcher” book series by Andrzej Sapkowski, there are certain elements lifted from the game too.
One of the Twitter users asked about Geralt’s disability and whether it will make it to show or not. The showrunner Lauren Hissrich has responded back hinting that The Witcher Season 2 can explore that and Geralt of Rivia can be seen walking with a limp due to his battle injuries.
The Witcher Season 2 Spoilers and Geralt walking with a Limp
The Witcher Season 2 spoilers will be based on the books and we will not discuss it here to make sure that the non-readers are not spoiled. The Twitter user named @mustangsart who himself has some disability made a thread on Twitter and talked about Geralt’s injury and how it makes him a bit more realistic in the books.
I haven't stopped thinking about this thread. I've read these books a dozen times, these specific sections, and I've not thought of it further than: "Geralt has some pain, onto the next thing."
I've been wrong.
I'm excited to dig into this more. To add this layer to our hero. https://t.co/ra3kc2bJk5

Hissrich replied to the post and said that he will make sure that the same is applied for The Witcher season 2 and they will stay as close to the books as possible. Even though it doesn’t confirm anything, we could actually see Henry Cavill limping as Geralt of Rivia as he is shown quite vulnerable compared to the video games.
The Witcher Season 2 Release Date, Trailer and COVID-19 Delay
The Witcher Season 2 release date is set as August 2021 as per some reports and nothing is official about it at the moment. Netflix was supposed to release the second season of The Witcher around the end of 2020 but the coronavirus outbreak delayed the filming and created a lot of issues.
Since the filming involves a lot of people for battle scenes, it is still very difficult. The Witcher Season 2 production has started in London and hopefully, the filming will be done in the next few months. Fans who are looking forward to see The Witcher Season 2 trailer can hope for fresh footage as some of the filming is already complete.
