Universal Music Group and Dolby have announced that together they will release thousands of songs. The label will be in the format of Dolby Atmos Music. It will be like a remastered version of the songs which will include a list of artists of different genres.
What is this partnership for?
The reason behind remastering is allowing the artists to connect and share their music as created and intended in the studio. Dolby Atmos is just providing artists with the freedom and power to express their beautiful stories like never before.
Like from rock to jazz, hip-hop to classical, etc. A representative of Dolby mentioned some song like “7th heaven” by Beck, “What’s Goin On” by Marvin Gaye, “Mama Said Knock You Out” by LL Cool J, and “Drive” by R.E.M.
Dolby Atmos doesn’t choose to use two-channels (stereo) audio editor or five-channels (surround) audio editor. And the company also do not uses even seven-channels of audio like other normal. But instead of this, they choose any number of channels that creates a 360-degree sphere of sound.
When will the songs be released?
However, a fixed date has not been declared for when these songs are going to be released and available for us to listen. But the company have suggested that they will soon disclose further information about the partnership. Check out blocktoro.com for more.
